Brera giallo - lovely and central apartment

Beautiful and welcoming newly built apartment in the heart of Milan. A stone's throw from Brera and the main railway stations. Served by all types of public transport within a radius of 100 meters. Cooking, fashion and culture: everything on foot!

The yellow apartment can accommodate up to 5 people and consists of a large living room with an open kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom.

In the living area as well as a 40 led tv, there are lots of books and a kitchen equipped with all mod con appliances: dishwasher, digital oven, induction hob, fridge and microwave. In addition, the comfortable sofa transforms into a single bed with a pull-out bed underneath.
The double bedroom is spacious and you can choose to sleep in two comfortable single beds or in a double bed. A cot or a third single bed can be added if required.

The spacious bathroom has a large shower with a yellow accent wall and mood lighting.

In the hallway, there is a large service cupboard containing a 7kg washer dryer and an electric boiler for hot water during the summer months.

It can comfortably accommodate 4 people, as it has a double bedroom and a living area equipped with a single bed with pull-out bed: so not uncomfortable sofa beds, but real beds. The double bedding provided is made of cotton satin.
The bathroom has an entire shower wall and is provided with towels of the same colour as the apartment (white, black and yellow). There is also a phone.
In the living area beside a 40 '' led tv, there are plenty of books and a kitchen in a niche with all the appliances: dishwasher, digital oven, induction floor, refrigerator. There is also a service area containing a 7 kg lava dryer

The Italian law, in compliance with European anti-terrorism regulations, requires to the hotels and extra-hotel structures (like ours) to register guests and to communicate their presence to the Police promptly. To do this we need alternatively your identity card, driver's license or passport.
Check-in with service staff is guaranteed from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Outside of this time zone, during a weekend or in August, you can make self-check-in thanks to our safety deposit boxes for keys.
Specific guests needs are catered for with flexible check-in and check-out. Any personal requests are considered from a timely communication with the host.

Brera district
The name Brera evokes the artists and intellectuals who regularly frequented the quarter at the turn of the century, but it also brings to mind its current identity as a fashionable and popular haunt steeped in culture: from the Pinacoteca to the Teatro Strehler and the historic head(hidden) of the Corriere della Sera. Not to mention the churches of San Marco and San Simpliciano with their musical events.
The district spans out around Via Brera in the area between the ancient Roman and medieval city walls and its name derives from "Braida", a term of Lombard origin that indicated a field near the city. In fact, during the Middle Ages, the area upon which the current district stands as a free space within the walls. a city within a city, from the nineteenth century up to the 60s it was Milan's artistic and literary heart and during the Risorgimento years, it was the birthplace of the Scapigliatura movement and, later, the artistic avant-garde movements from the Pointillist to Futurists. The district changed rapidly between the 60s and 70s to become an exclusive location with palazzi, boutiques, art galleries and antique shops.
A stroll through culture
To discover the neighbourhoods most authentic atmosphere it is best to wander along the cobbled pedestrian streets that branch off from the main thoroughfares: via del Carmine, for example, that borders the 15th-century church of Santa Maria del Carmine and via Ciovasso with its art galleries. Eventually, however, all roads naturally lead to the magnificent Palazzo di Brera which represents the real cultural and artistic soul of this area, home of the famous Pinacoteca - one of the most important Italian museums - but also of other prestigious city institutions like the Accademia di Belle Arti, the Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense, the Museo e Osservatorio Astronomico, the Istituto Lombardo Accademia di Scienze e Lettere and the Orto Botanico, the latter being a verdant oasis in the centre of Milan.
In fact, culture is still in the air even when moving away from the heart of the neighbourhood: for example, in the nearby Museo del Risorgimento, where a reconstruction of the epic unification of Italy can be seen, and the Piccolo Teatro Strehler - which, with the nearby Piccolo Teatro Studio Expo forms one of the most important cultural hubs in Milan - or in the historical premises of the Corriere della Sera, the Milanese daily newspaper.
San Marco and San Simpliciano
Until the Navigli were covered over in the 30s via San Marco seemed like a scene from Venice: the Martesana canal came from Trezzo d'Adda and flowed into the "Tombone", a landing dock for boats transporting goods to Milan. The church of San Marco was founded in 1254 in via San Marco, perhaps incorporating an existing building dedicated to the saint in a sign of gratitude towards the Venetians who helped Milan in the battles against Frederick Barbarossa. Some interesting facts: the young Mozart stayed for three months the nearby rectory while the composer Giovanni Battista Sammartini was the church organist. On May 22nd, 1874, Giuseppe Verdi himself conducted his Requiem on the occasion of the first anniversary of the death of Alessandro Manzoni.
Following the nearby Corso Garibaldi, heading north towards Porta Garibaldi - another symbolic nightlife location in Milan that has recently undergone a massive urban renewal project - the church of San Simpliciano can be glimpsed in a side street. It is one of four basilicas - along with San Nazario Maggiore, santambrogio and San Dionigi, which is no longer visible - commissioned in the fourth century by Bishop Ambrogio of Milan. San Marco and San Simpliciano are well known in the city for hosting numerous musical events.
The new Porta Nuova district: contemporary Milan
Initiated in 2009, the urban-renewal project comprises the area between Porta Garibaldi, the Isola district and the former Porta Nuova railway station, also known as "delleVaresine" because it was a terminus for trains from Varese, Novara, and Gallarate. The station was decommissioned in the early 60s and replaced by the current Porta Garibaldi Station. The new project - devised by a team of internationally-renowned architects - has redesigned the area creating a myriad of buildings with different functions: offices, commercial and residential spaces. a pedestrian system of gardens, piazzas, footbridges and bike paths unites all the zones. The complex of tower blocks that loom over piazza Gae Aulenti boasts some notable buildings including the Unicredit tower, the highest structure in Italy, the Torre Diamante between Viale della Liberazione and via Galilei, and the Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest), two residential towers with planted terraces set in Via De Castillia and via Confalonieri in the Isola district.
Palazzo Lombardia
The large urban complex, head(hidden) of the Lombardy Regional offices, is one of the most iconic buildings of the garibaldi-repubblica redevelopment. The project, carried out between 2007 and 2010, has created a real "slice of a city, a tower approx. 161 mt high and four lower curvilinear buildings. The lower structures, inspired by the peaks of Lombardy, provide a number of public spaces amongst which the impressive Piazza cittã  di Lombardia. The entire complex is home to the regional offices and commercial businesses, plus, exhibition spaces, meeting and conference rooms, libraries and archives, gardens, an auditorium and other rooms for public use.

The property is in a strategic position to comfortably reach every destination. Food, fashion and culture: everything is accessible on foot. The apartments are located in Corso Garibaldi, neighbouring to the renowned Brera district, which is just 800 meters away. The historic city centre can be reached with a pleasant 20- minutes walk: the cathedral of Duomo, Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, La Scala, the great fashion ateliers are only 1,5 km away from the apartments.
The main railway stations are neighbouring: Porta Garibaldi is located at 1 Km (11 minutes on foot), Cadorna at 1,5 Km and Central Station at 2 Km. From these stations, you can easily take any means of transport to reach the airports. The nearest subway stop is M2 (green line) Moscova, directly connected to the main railway stations.
At 300 meters from here, you will find the large Via Legnano where you can take trams number 2, 4, 12 or 14, which lead directly to the duomo or to the new wonderful Navigli districts darsena where you can enjoy the city. Instead, Going ahead, along Via Legnano, close to Sempione Park, the green lung of the city, you can take bus 57.
For those who love cycling, in Largo La Foppa there is a bikeMi station, here you find the bicycle that the city of Milan makes available to get around the city, paying via app or in the newsstands.
